ITALY'S FIRM STAND.
REPLIES TO HER ALLIES.
(Received September 29th, 11.30 p.m.) ROME, September 29. It is officially announced that the ultimatum was presented to the Grand Vizier at half-past two. The majority of the Italians have quitted Tripoli, but some few, with
the officials, remain at the Consulates. Two largo steamers have been pjaoed at the Consulate's disposal to embark Europeans of any nationality. Italy has informed tho Balkan States that her policy regarding the maintenance of tho integrity of the Turkish Empire in Europe » unchanged. She would join with, other Powers to prevent any aggression. The dispute with Turkey applies to Tripoli alone. Replying to Germany's aad Au&trja's friendly unofficial enquiries, Italy declared that if war were avoided she must bo granted such preponderance in Tripoli as would render her mistress of tho province, making tho Sultan's sovereignty merely nominal.
