A cab-»vasher named William Walter Caffyn, of Swinbrook road, Kensington, ■was charged at AVfst London Police Court last month with attempting to commit suicide by hanging himself with a rope. Police-constable Batley said that the defendants little boy came to him in the street and said: "Come quickly; father is hanging himself." He went to tho houss and found that tho rope had boon taken off the man's neck. [ The boy told him that he saw his father : hanging from the bedpost. Defendant: 1 did not do it intentionally.
