METHVEN.
Thursday was an ideal spring day at Methven up to 8 p.m., when the wind suddenly changed to the south-west, and rain commenced to fall, and at day. light yesterday morning snow was lying on the ground one inch deep. There was a bitterly cold wind blowing yesterday, which hindored the snow from melting as fast as it wouHl otherwise do. \ourig lambs must have had* a rough time, and a heavy mortality is reported.
