The annual meetine of the Darfield Lawn Tonnis Club was held last Thursday c trailing, Mr J. Calder occupying tho chair. Th» secretary reported a most successful year. Tho boiance-sbdet showed receipts £30 Ob 6d. expenditure £1C 13a 3d, and bafeancc carried forward £13 G» 3d. The tellowinir officers were elected far the ensuing year:—President, Mr D. G&aodem-, vice-presidents. Dr. Simpson, Messrs Robert Reid, D. Mnlholland, and F. C. Candy; club captain, Mr Jan. Reid, who is also team selector; secretary and treasurer, Mr Leeard; committee, Messrs J. Cakhsr. J. Bod, W. Mnlholland, F. Candy, and G. Cridse; ladies' Rub-committee, Mcsdarnes J. Read, Calder, Simpson. Lezard, aod Misses Jacnan, Ede, and MulholJa&d. It was decided to open the season on Saturd&v next.
