In tho absence of supplies there are no transactions in oats, except in small Jots for seed. Chaff is firm in consequence, of the offerings being limited, as it is "worth more in country districts than in town. Tlie potato market is very slack, sales with northern ports being difficult to effort. Some buyers are offering as low as 2T) S and 30s. but few growers are at present willing to consider less tlian 32s (kl to 355, at country stations. Tht> undermontioned are the prices paid to farmers, at country stations, frco of commission, except where, otherwise stated: — Wheat—Nominal; milling, Tuscan, or Hunter's, 3s 6d. and Velvet 3s 7d, »t country stations.
