THE MOLESWORTH MISHAP.
PASSENGERS HAVE A NARROW ESCAPE.
Uiited Press Association—By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright. MELBOURNE, September 26. The railway eccident reported from Molesworth was caused by a truck in a mixed train jumping the rails. The truck travelled 200 yards before the coupling broke. It then left the line, dragging aapther truck with it over an embankment. The following truck and two passenger cars continued to run on the rails till they struck a bridge. A truck and a passenger car containing eighteen passengers toppled thirty feet down a gully. Fortunately the body of the car left the under-carriage, and the top dropping off the passengers were thrown clear. Had the heavy under-carriage fallen with the car, the consequences would have been more serious. Sjsteen persons were injured, the most serious injuries being a broken arm and cuts and bruises.
