(Before Mr T. Hutchison, S.M.) Vincent Bernard, for driving a motor car at an excessive speed, was fined os and costs. Frederick" Peters, for driving without lights, was fined 5s and costs, as also were Geo. W. Henderson for allowing a horse to wander on tho streets, and Thos. Stevens for riding a motor cycle above the speed limit allowed. James Sullivan was fined 40s for using obscene language, and convicted and discharged for using threatening behaviour. Judgment by default, for plaintiff was entered in : —Fraser and McT/eod v Charles Cornelius, claim £2 4s 3d; A. Jones and Co. v John Hydes. £2 10s 6d. costs 16s; same v Jos.' Joyce, £1 lis 9d, costs os. Frank Wills claimed £33 damages to a crop of potatoes by stock belonging to Jeremiah Leon. Judgment was given for £4.
