FESTIVAL OF EMPIBE SPORTS
THE COMING OLYMPIC GAMES.

At a dinner given at tho Crystal Palaco Lord Desborough, who presided, presented tho Lonsdalo Cup to the Canadians, and also the inter-Empire medals to winners at the recent Festival of Empire sports. Hβ congratulated tho oversea representatives coming thousands of milee t-o parti* cipato in tho meeting. They were evidently animated by tho best feelings of sport. Lord Desborough announced that in connection with the Olympic Games in 1912 arrangements were being madw for tho British, Australasian, Canadian, and South African teams to train together in England, and go to Stockholm together, if possible as an Empire team. Mr manager of the Australasian team, asked for reciprocity by Britain sending a team to Australia.
