A well-attended farewell social' was tendered to Mr and Mrs Wm. Livingstone in tho Summerhill schoolroom on Friday evening by tho residents. During tho evening Mr Lloyd, on behalf of tho district, presented Mr Livingstone with an illuminated address, which was largely signed* and isl doing so referred in appreciative terms to Mr Livingstone's popularity during his long residence in the district. Messrs Mcllraith, Tollott, Kennedy* and Rodgers also spoke highly of both Mr and Rlrs Livingstone. Mr Livingstone replied very feelingly, thanking tho residents for the honour done them. At a progressive eticliro malch held later Miss B. McLaughlan won the ladies' prize, and Mr H. Tollott tho gentleman's.
