FIRE ON THE FLORA.

(PRESS AJ-SOCIATIOK TELEGRAM.) WELLINGTON, July 17. An outbreak of fiie was aisoovered ehortly after noon to-day on the starboard aide of the after hatch of the Union Steam Ship Company* Flora, while lying alongside Jervois quay wharf. The damage wo* slight, only one or two sack* of chaff being charred. Water leak'ng from the deck and coming in contact with some bags of lime i* suppoeed to have caused the fire. The Flora wa* not subjected to much delay, and eailed soon after for Picton, Westport and GreynMmth.
