(press association telegram.) DUNEDIN, July 12. Fat Cattle —167 wero yarded, just about sufficient for the trade's requirements. Only a few prime sorts were forward. The sale opened at an advance ou last week's prices, but values gradually receded an<t closed on a par with tho rates ruling at the Jast sals. Best bullocks brought £11 10s to £13, extra to £15 2s <id, medium £8 10s to £9 15s, light and inferior £6 os to £7 10s, best heifers £6 10s to £8, medium £5 to £6, best cows up to £8. Fat Sheep—4-587 were yarded; a big yarding. The easier tone of th© London market was reflected at the sale, and export buyers operated with caution. As a consequence prices all over were back about ls 6d compared with last week. Quotations are: —Best wethere 20s Ski to 21s 6d, extra to 22s 3d, medium 17s 6d to 18s 9d, light and unfinished 14s 6d to 16s, best ewes 16s Cd to ISs, oxtra to 22s 9d, medium 13s to lis fid, unfinished 10s to lis. Fat Lambs—2ooo were penned. The extreme prices ruling of late were not maintained. Export buyers were operating at reduced limits owing to the easier tendency of the London market. Compared with last week prices were back from ls -Sd to 2s.
