A MODIFICATION

(Received July 12th, 12.20 a.m.) LONDON, July 11. In tho House of Commons Mr Lloyd George outlined a modification of the National Insurance Bill. In the case of agriculturiste, domestics, nurses, and clerks, whose employers pay their wages during illness, Mr Lloyd George proposes that employers and wage-earners shall pay one penny apiece less, thereby eliminating the temporary sick benefit* but leaving permanent sickness, sanitarium, and maternity benefits untouched.
