At a meeting of • the Management Committee of the New Zeifcvnd Rugby Union to-night tho New Zealand L'niversitv Football Committee wrote, stating that the .Sydney University Foot- i ball Club had invite- it to send to Sydney a team representing New Zealand University, during the present season.- It was proposed 'to play two matches against Sydney University, and one mntch against an outside team. The following was the proposed itinerary :—-Leave Wellington June 23rd, arrive Sydney 27th, play Sydney University July Ist and oth," play team to be fixed by* the New South Wales Rugby Union "on Bth, leave Sydney July Bth, arrive Wellington July ]2th. The team would consist of eighteen players and a manager. The Committee asked the Union's permission to make the tour. The application was granted, subject to the team agreeing to publish a statement of receipts and expenditure after the tour.
