MRS W. PRATT.

The death is announced of Mrs W. Pratt, one of the oldest" residents of Canterbury. She arrived in New Zealand, at Nelson, at the beginning of 1843, and afterwards removed to Lyttelton, where she was married by tho Yen. Archdeacon Dudley in ■1851. Three years afterwards she returned to Nelson, and resided there until 1863, when Mr and Mrs Pratt came back ,to Christchurch, and they have had their home here ever since. Mr Pratt died six years ago. The late Mrs Pratt was of a, very retiring disposition, but enjoyed the esteeni of a very wide circle of friends. She leaves three sons and five daughters, twenty-seven grandchildren, and four great-grand-children.
