Vincent, a member of the J committee, said it was only fair it r the Slanagement Committee in do- .' ciding not to send a team to Australia next season had been influenced solely by the fact that in view of the English tour to Australia, tho proposed New Zealand tour would only result .- in a loss. Mr J. Young said the committer ,: had previously negotiated with tho SI.CC. relative to the extension of tho English tour to New Zealand, but tho ' reply received* was that the project could not bo carried out. Efforts had - also been made to secure a visit from ,', the South Africans, but without - success.
