THE RACING COMMISSION.

(PREBB ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) AUCKLAND, March 7. The members of the Racing Commission, consisting of Sir Geo. Clifford (chairman), Messrs Nolan (Taranaki), J. McVcy (Napier), J. Rowe (Auckland), and A. E. Cohen (Dunedin), left Wanganui by motor-car yesterday morning, and inspected the Waverley, Patea, Lepperton, Egmont, Stratford, and New Plymouth racecourses, conferring with the representatives of the various crabs. They reached Onehunga by tho steamer Rarawa this morning, and motor-cars being in waiting, they proceeded to the Avondale oonrse, also inspecting the Alexandra Park, Ellerslie, and Takapuna courses before lunch. They left by steamer at 4 p.m. for Kopu, where motorcars will be ready to convey them to Thames. To-morrow they will inspect the Thames racecourse, and then proceed to Pacroa, Waihi, Te Aroha, end Hamilton, end the Commission will join the express for Palmerston North at Frankton.
