'"The Passing of t!ie Third Floor Back" was revived last night at the Theatre Royal, by tho Plimmer-Den-nistori Company, when there was a good house." The play went excellently from first to last. All the characters v.ere well filled, especially that of the Mysterious (Stranger, by Mr Harry Plimmer. and lodging house slavey by Mies Lizetto Parkes. night was the conclusion of the season, and the company leave this evening for Wellington," opening a short season there or- Saturday night. FULLER'S PICTURES. Tho final exhibition of the current programme of Fuller's Pictures was witnessed last night by a large audience at the Colosseum, and was greatly appreciated. To-night the usual biweekly change will take place. Amongst tho new pictures will be:—'"Amongst the Parsees of Bom-bay , ," "Attack on Fort Ridgley," "Iron Mountain," "The Sunday Edition,"' "Pathe Gazette," "Hearts and Polities," "Rivers and Valleys of Norway," "Rough Rider's Romance." OPERA HOUSE. The programme submitted by Fuller's Vaudeville Company attracted a large audience to the Opera House, and the varied and entertaining items given were thoroughly appreciated. Maud Fanning, the Elliott Sisters, and the other contributors to the programme wore successful in their items. To-night the same programme will be repeated. HAYWARP-wiSr PICTURES. The well-selected programme of Hay-ward-West Pictures screened at His Majesty's was witnessed by a la"rge audience, which w?s greatly pleased with tho variety and interesting character of the subjects depicted. Tonight the same programme will be given. The matinee exhibition to-mor-row will be in the King's Theatre. SYDENHAM PICTURES. A largo and highly appreciative audience witnessed the second exhibition ot the Empire Pictures at Sydenham last night. To-night the same programme , will be given. AMY CASTLES CONCERTS. On Thursday evening: next, at the Theatre Royal, Miss Amy Castles will give the first of her three concert?, under tho auspices of Messrs J. and N. Tait. Mi.ss Castles has achieved a very high reputation alike in grand opera and on the concert stage, and. no doubt her reception hero will be as enthusiastic as it has beon in Dunedin. She will bo assisted by a trio of artists, who also stand high in their profession. Herr Alexander Camphansen is a baritone who has made a name for himself in grand opera on the Continent. Herr Louis Hattcnbach is a 'cellist of whom report speaks highly, and Mr William Conway, the solo pianist, is also spoken •of as a most artistic player. Tho plan of reserved seats for the season, which will he a short one of three nights only, is now open at the Dresden. A private telegram received last night from Duncdin states that Miss Aniy Castles received a great ovation on the occasion of her opening concert there on Wednesday night. Miss Castles was recalled several times, and quite a number of bouquets were given. The supporting artists also were enthusiastically received.
