An alteration has beeu made in the loadprogramme of the White Star liner Atnenic, which is now discharging at Lyttelton. Instead of leaving here on Thursday for Gieborne, the Athenio will remain here until Tuesday, 14th inst., when she. will sail for Napier and Wellington Oisborne will be omitted from her loading: ports, and eho will not return to Lyttelton, but will sail finally from Wellington on the O3rd inst. for London, via Monte Video, Bio de Janeiro', Teneriffe and Plymouth. The New Zealand Shipping Company s steamer Orari is expected to sail to-morrow for Dunedin to discberge the remainder of h*- cargo from GlaFgow and Liverpool. The Now Zealand Shipping Company s etcamer Turakina loaded the following cargo at Lyttelton for London:—s233 bales wool, 33 balea ekins, 48.177 carcases mutton and lamb, 554 casks tallow, 91 bales tow, 79 casks pelts, 110 casks oleo, 2 drums glycerine, 1 truss leather, 1 bale hair, 23 packages mid 1 case, sundries, 64 crates kidneys, 15 crates eweettceads, 504 boxes butter. and 6704 crates cheeje. The Turakina is now completing her loading at Wellington, and is to sail finally on Thursday for London via wav ports. , The New Zealand Shipping Company s steamer Wcimato arrived at midday on Saturday from Port Chalmers. She is loadine frozen meat, wool, and genecal cargo, and is to fail to-morrow for "Wellington to complete loading and coaling. Tho Waimate will leave Wellington finally about Thursday or Friday for London. The N-2W Zealand Shipping Company s steamer Kuipara is due at Wellington today from Beauty Point. She will load for London at Wellington, Napier, Auckland, Waitara, Tima-ru nnd Lyttelton. The Kaipara will sail finally from Lyttelton for London about March 2nd. The re-survey of Auckland Harbour was commenced last week by Lieutenant J. M. Jackson. R.N.. and it is expected that the ■work will take three or four months to complete. Captain Farquhar was subsequently in the service of the Auckland Steam Packet Company, but for many years before his death he was commodore of the Northern Steamship Company. In 1896 he brought the Northern Company's fine paddle sleamor Wnkatero out from Glasgow. Captain Alex. Farquhar. who was running between Thames and Auckland for over focty years, is a brother of the deceased. The Union Company's training ship Dartford is expected to leave Newcastle to-day with a cargo of coal for Lyttelton. The Federal-Houlder-Shire steamer Sussex will probably come out of dock at Port Chalmers to-day, and will be laid up for about ten days longer. Nothing will be done to the damaged bow until she reaches Glasgow.
