REPRIMANDED.
AN OFFICER'S INDISCRETION. United Press Association—By Electric TelegTaph—Copyright. NEW YORK, January 10. Commander, Ames, the United States naval officer who recently mado certain indiscreet public utterances in London, is to be reprimanded.
In London, on Dacomber 4th, Commander Ames, replying to the Lord Mayor's welcome to the American fleet, said that, personally, he believed that if the British Empire were seriously menaced by an external enemy., the British people might count upon'every man, every dollar, and every drop cf blood from their kindred across tho sea.
