SCALES LINE OF STEAMERS
The Scales Line steamer Clan Ross, which arrived at London last Wednesday with a fuU cajgo of wool for the January sales, made
the passage from Wellington . in' .44 days. As the vessel ia only -800 tons gross register, an average of 11J knots for the whole distance is a good performance. The Clan Chisholm left Wellington*yesterday morning for London, via St. ,Vincent, with a cargo of 7000 bales of wool and X4OO tons of concentrates. ' . ' The Clan Grunt is now at Oaniaru discharging the balance of her cargo of pariah fro mßunbury. She is due at Wellington to-morrow to start loading wool for I tndon. The Clan Shaw is due.at Port .Pine dp the 15th inst., from South Africa, and after loading concentrates, will come to New /•*»- lar.d to fill up with wool for Duakir.t, X-n----d'.'j and Antwerp. . v. . ,■ ■• Tihe Clan Menzies is* due at .Bunbury about the 2nd mat., to load a full cargo : of jarrah for Auckland, Wellington, and-Lyi telton. She will subsequently loaa wiil' at New Zealand ports for • Lonlin.
