THE POSITION OF FRANCE.

In connection with the Russo-Ger-man pour parlers the Paris correspondent of 'The Times" says that the main interests of France in regard to the Middle Eastern question are that Russia shall, not become involved in any conflict weakening her influence in '.Europe, and that the Persian entente with Britain shall be maintained and strengthened. He adds that certain sections of the proposed Ruslo-Germau agreement can be interpreted by the Germans as an acknowledgment of the exclusive sphere of German interest throughout AsiaM inor.
