RANGIORA.
(Before Messrs T. A. B. Bailey, S.M., and E. R. Good, J.P.) E. 11., Gee and A. S. Chapman, for breaches of prohibition orders, were each fined 10s and costs. Judgment was given for plaintiffs in W. Hodgson (Mr Van Asch) v J. Barrick, £2 2s: Alice Hole (Mr Johnston) v C. H.,Lander, £31 17s 6d, and possession of tenement in a week. J. M. Stewart (Mr McDougall) claimed £31 13s 4d from W. Quinn, balance due for services as clerk of works in connection with the rebuilding of the Southbrook Hotel. After considerable conflicting evidence had been adduced, judgment was for defendant, with costs of counsel.
