SubInspector McGrath asked .for a remand, as other charges would be brought'against accused. Jones iiad stolen the articles from a clothes' line, and in his house .other stolen goods, including two bicycles, had been found. A remand till Friday was granted to allow the police to find owners for the stolen goods. Three first offenders for drunkenness were convicted and discharged. KAIAPOI. (Before Mr T. A. B. Bailey, S.M.) W T . Keliher and J. Dickie, who did not appear te answer charges of obtaining liquor while they were prohibited, were each fined 10s and 7s costs.
