MUNICIPAL ELECTION.
» Mr E. W. Clarkson is a candidate for the vacancy for the Linwood Ward on the City Council. Mr E. Smith, who was for many years superintendent of the Christchurch Fire Brigade and inspector of buildings, and who is at present a memlier of the South Waimakariri River Board, and secretary of the Royal Humane Society of Now Zealand, is announced as a candidate for the seat on the City Council for the Linwood Ward, rendered vacant by the resignation of Mr T. N. Horsley. .
