Tho Wcstland Trotting Club's Summ«r Meeting was held this, afternoon in splendid weather, and with a good attendance. , Tho racing was keen, and it was a most successful gathering. Time, 3min 4 3-Sth sec.TRADESMEN'S HANDICAP, of 20 soys; one mile, and a half—Ruatapu, 16Eec,__.l; Loyal, Bsec, 2; Victory, lCsec, 3. fta« started. Won easily. Time, 4min 7 3-sth ace. WESTLAND HANDICAP, of 80 soys; two miles—Teresina, 30sec, 1; Merry, 25sec, 2; Opihi, scr, 3. Nino started. Time, Smin 37 3-sth sec. GOLDFIELDS HANDICAP, of 20 govs; one mile and a half—Echlot, 20sec, 1; Lulu Child, scr, 2; Vivelta, 2Ssec, 3. A protest was lodged against the winner for galloping, but wbb dismissed.
