SHIPPING NOTES.
The Union Company's steamer Apariraa, from Calcutta, Singapore and Samarang, via Auckland, will arrive at Wellington this morning, and is due here on Wednesday. As eho has only a small quantity of cargo to load here, sho will probably get away tho same day for Dunedin. The Kini, from Westport, via Wellington, and the Kittawa, from Greymouth, via Wellington, arrived here yesterday with part cargos of coal. The Kinl is to sail tonight, and tho Kittawa to-morrow for Greymouth.
The Kamona, which 1b undergoing her annual ove-haul and survey, will come out of deck on Wednesday, and the Waipori will be docked on ■ Thursday. The Koonya, due her* from Timaru, will sail to-night for Wellington, New Plymouth, Westport, and GreymouthThe Waihora is now loading coal at Newcastle for Chilian ports. After discharging, the vessel will xeturn to New Zealand for order*. The Kaitangata left Melbourne on Saturday for Newcastle to load coal for New Zealand. Captain C. McDonald, assistant marino superintendent for the Union Steam Ship Company, was a passenger for Dunedin by the Monowai on Saturday. Tho Canterbury Steam Shipping Company B ftesmer Petone. which eailed on Saturday night for Oamaru and Timaru. is due back here, tomorrow, and after completing loading will go on to Wellington, Napier, and Gisborne. The Storm left in the afternoon for Dunedin, Oamaru, and Timaru. Sho is due hack on Wednesday, when sho will leave for Wanganut. The Breeze is due back her© about Sunday next from the Chatham Islands. _ The New Zealand Shipping Company's combination steamer Otaki sailed on Saturday afternoon for "Wellington, Napier, and Auckland to complete loading for London. She will leave Auckland about the end of this week for London, via Monto Video.
The New Zealand Shipping Company's liner Rotorua, arrived at Wellington from Napier on Friday to complete loading. She will fill up with fro-en meat, dairy produce, wool, etc., and will leave "Wellington on Thursday for London, via Monto Video, Rio de Janeiro, Tenerifie, and Plymouth. The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Turakina, from London via way parts, left Hobart at 7 a.m. on Friday, and is due at Wellington to-morrow. She has about 4100 tons o? cargo to land at Wellington, end is due at Lyttelton about Sunday next. The Federal-Houlder-Shire Line steamer
Sussex, from West of England via way poits aud Auckland, is expected to arrive here tomorrow, and will sail about Thursday i>r Friday for Dunedin to finish discharging. She will afterwards load at New Zealand ports for the West of England, and will sail finally from Wellington aoout the middle of March, talucg passengers for Avoiuaouth only. The steamer Roaeric, under charter to tho Shaw, Savill and Albion Company, will start loading at Auckland this week for London. The Brisbane left Newcastle on Friday night with a cargo of cool for Lyttelton, and ia due here on Thursday night. Having completed her annual overhaul and survey, the Westport Coal Company's collier Canopus had her compasses adjusted on Saturday afternoon. She -ailed about 10 p.m. for Westport to load coal for Lyttelton. The Kniraki left Grevmouth late on Saturday night, and is due here this eveninj* with a cargo of timber. The steamer will Mil on Thursday, taking cargo for Wellington, Napier, and Gisbornc.
