(rBESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) _. AUCKLAND, January 7. Splendid weather was experienced for the concluding day of the Auckland Trotting Club's .Summer Meeting, and there was a large attendance. The course was fast, and the racing of a brilliant nature. The totnlisator receipts -mounted to £5363, making £19,291 for the meeting, an increase of £4486 on last year's figures. Twenty-seven bookmakers were licensed at a fee of £10 10s. Results: — .TRIAL HANDICAP (in saddle), of 60 soys; ono mile and a half—Bronze Bell, 13sec, 1; Merry Kate, ISsec, 2; Merry Will, losec, 3. Hnia Bell lOsec and Black Jin ISsec were scratched. Time, 4min 7aec. WARD HANDICAP (in harness), of 100 eovs; cue mile and a half—Autocrat, •1; Belle Gray, 7sec, 2; Harold Abdallah, 18sec, 3. Waitekauri 13sec was scratched. Won easily by six lengths. Time, 3min 46 2-Sth 6CC, . ■ The Southern champion, Dillon Bell, failed to establish a record of 4min 31sec, for a purse of 250 soys, but succ-eded in trotting 4min 41scc, and won a purse of £100, given for lowering of the time limit to 4min 42soc.
