PRODUCT OF THE REVOLUTION
(Received January Bth, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, January 7. Enquiries show that the Houndsditch assassins were nearly all from tho Baltic provinces. They began their career of murder and brigandage in the stormy days following the attempted revolution in Russia 'a 1905. They were concerned in several train robberies and murders, and fled to London. Morountzeff's portrait has been recognised at Warsaw-. Scotland Yard denies that any German warnings were received.
(Received January 9th, 12.20 a.m.) LONDON, January 8. The Salvage Corps discovered five curiously shaped missiles, believed to bo bombs, in the Sydney street ruins. Gershon was released. He states that ho knew Jacob. Jacob and Fritz took possession of a room by force, and compelled a secretary to wait upon them. The police are convinced that Gershon did not associate with the murderers.
