DOM AND NEW ZEALAND

We aro indebted to Mr Rolleston, Rritish Trade Commissioner in New Zealand, for a copy of a statement relating to the external trade of the United Kingdom during the nine months ending September 30th, 1910, compiled by tho Hoard of Trade, London, with special reference to tho trade with New Zealand. It shows that the total value of the merchandise imported into tho United Kingdom from New Zealand during the nino months was £18.926,000, and that of the produce and manufactures of tho United Kingdom exnorted to New Zealand £0,298,000. Foreign and colonial_ merchandise to tho value of £577,000 was also exported from tho United Kingdom to the Dominion during the same period. The figures for the corresponding period of 1909 were: — Imports from New Zealand £15.805,000, exports-to New Zealand of United Kingdom produce £5,436,000, of_ foreign and colonial merchandise £548,000. The growth "in imports from New Zealand has thus been nearly 20 per cent., and that in exports thither of United Kingdom produce 16 por cent, on last year's figures.
