MARSHLAND CYCLING CLUB
[ The following races were run under I tho auspices of the Marshland Club 1 last week :—The first race started at the fichool, and thence along Marshland, Brigg's, Hill's, and Hawkens's roads,
to the Marshland road, and finished at 1 the starting point, a distance of twelve miles. It resulted: —W. Oldman (4min 4osec hep.), time 35min, 1; A. Fullc(omin), time 3omin lGsce), 2; J. Black (-Imin), time 34min 17sec. 3..M. Perj kasky, with Imin start, was the fastI est rider unplaced; time, 32inin 47sec
Last Friday another mcc was run I over the same course. W. Cook and J. | Quaid were dead heat for first, 3imin I start, time 34min 7sec: A. Bonis 3 j <limin> time 32min 17sec. W. Oldman, j with lm:» 40sec start, secured the j fastest time unplaced, doing the distance in 31min osec.
The Race Committee- of the Christchurch Cycling and Motor Club has decided, in connection with the Championship Wheel Race Meeting, to be held by the club at Lancaster Park on December- 26th, to place only the one and five miles championships on the programme for the meeting, reserving the half and three miles for a future meeting this season.
