' A very excellent programme was I given lnist night at the Colosseum ;n ! connection with Fuller's Pictures. The I films of various industries were exceedingly interesting. To-night there will ho a change of bill. The principal new pictures will include "Through I Branderhury," "The Right to Labour," "Vacation 'in Havana," "Picturesque Sydney, ■' "Little Angel of Luck," "Valmero, the Golden Shell," -'The Governor's Daughter," "Norway to New York," "Girl of Triple X Ranch," and several humorous films.

OPERA HOUSE. I The programme submitted at the Opera House last evening met with the unstinted appreciation of a large audience. Farrell and Gaffncy provided the "star" vaudeville turn, and the pictures of the Kelly C4ang provided an interesting bioscope study. The same programme will bo repeated this evening. HAY WARD-WEST PICTU R ES. The- current programme of HaywardWest Pictures was repeated in His Majesty's Theatre last evening to a largo audience, the films depicting tho manoeuvres of the German fleet, and the Portuguese revolution corning in for most attention. The programme) will be repeated this evening. VOCAL RECITAL. The vocal recital to bo given, this evening in tho Durham street Methodist Church should be of great interest from a musical point of view. It will bo given by Mrs Ernest Firth, a lady who possesses a very fine contralto voice, and, in addition, is a cultured musician. The accompaniment, being on the organ, will afford a much better opportunity for the full display of the resources of tho voice than if a piano were used. The programme of vocal numbers will include, amongst others, "O Thou that Tellest" and "He was Despised," from "The Messiah"; Bjumenthal's "Sunshine and Rain"; Liddle's setting of "Abide with Mc" ; Gounod's "0 Divine Redeemer" and "Entrefkt Mo Not to Leave Thee," and

Needha'm's cradle song, '"Hushcen." ■Mr Ernest Firth, in addition to playing the accompaniments, will play five organ solos. '•THE MESSIAH." On Wednesday, December 7th, Handel's oratorio "The Messiah" will be given at St. Luke's Church. Judging from tho way in which the rehearsals have gone, the oratorio should be successful. An offertory will bo made in aid of the organ fund, and it is hoped will Vie liberally responded to. wajnonFpark. In addition to several school picnics already held at Wainoni Park, there are a largo number booked for December. This season a free naval duel will be given for the entertainment of every picnic visiting the Park. Mr G. L. Petersen, advance agent for Wirth Bros.' circus, arrived at the Bluff by tho Uiiruaroa on Monday to make arrangements for the Xew Zealand tour.
