The half-yearly report of the Mount Lyell Company shows the net profits to be ,£30,000, a decrease of £25,000 compared with tho last half-year. This ia due to the lower average rate for copper and the fulling oil in the. irrade of ore. in several leading stopes. This ia officially believed to be only temporary. Tho dividend and bonus distributions totalled £105,000, and tho surplus of liquid assets is £105,120. The monthly returns show 'hat from October Cth to November 2nd tho Company treated 2G.067 tons of ore. • The converters produced st" tons of blister copper, containing 510 tons of copper, 49,355 ounces of silver, and GO9 ounces of gold.
