CHRISTCHURCH GUN CLUB.
A pigeon match was hold on the Christchurch Gun Club's grounds on Friday, for a stako of 60 soya. Considering the strong wind that was blowing, the shooting was up to expectations. The feature of tho day's sport was tho fine performance put up by C. E. Shallcrass, who killed all his birds with the first barrel. Scores:—C. E. No. 1, £1 sweep.—There were twelve competitors, and at the end of seven rounds tha cash was divided between Messrs E. P. Graham (29yds), W. J. Moir (22yds), H. Price (26 .-da), and C. E. Brown (23yds). I\'o 2, £1 sweep.—At the end of tho seventh round Messrs W. J. Moir (23yds), D. Young (21yds), E. C. Shnllcrass (23yds), and W. Grant (26vds), agreed to divide the cash. No. 3, iOs sweep, double rise.—W. JV Moir (23vds) and J. Rao (23yds) tied and ahot off. Mo'ir killed his pair, Rao missed one, and tho former won. Tho winner put up » good performance, dividing two sweeps and won ono outright. E. P Graham (29yds) registered a tirftclass performance, 'stopping; 19 birds out of 20 shot at in such a strong wind. w.
