CANTERBURY ELEVEN v. COLTS FIFTEEN. The Canterbury Cricket Association utilised Saturday atternoon in a match between a first cloven and the Colts' Fifteen at Hagley Park, when tho Eleven took strike, nnd scored 305, occupying the wicket for four hours, Ellis (76) being top scorer in an innings in which he infused a good deal of his old form. Pattrick (40), T. Carlton (43), and Bennett afeo hit merrily for 45, W. Carlton coming out with the fino average of four for 32, Thomas being the next best bowler with three wickets for 70 runs.
