Crippen appealed on the ground that the identit3' °f the corpse had not beon established, and that the Crown's rebutting evidence had been wrongly admitted. Mr Tobin explained that ho had returned his brief by mistako through a misunderstanding. After counsel had spoken for four and a half hours, tho appeal was dismissed in ten minutes.
