LABOUR DEMANDS.
A DAY OF REST. United P.-es-s Association—By Electric Tslegraph—Copyright. MELBOURNE, November 3. A deputation asked the State Premier, Mr Murray, to legislate to provide for one day's rest in seven for all workers. The Premier replied that he sympathised with the request, but was unable to promif-o that the Government would comply with it.
