OIL BOUNTIES BILL.
(Received 'November 3rd, 9.50 p.m.) MELBOURNE, November 3. The Oil Bounties Bill, introduced into the House of Representatives, provides for the payment of bounties on the production of kerosene and paraffin wax from Australian sbale. Fifty thousand pounds is appropriated out of the Consolidated Revenue for the. purpose for three years, commencing July Ist. The- schedule provides a bounty of twopence a gallon on kerosene having a flashpoint not lower than 73 deg. Fahrenheit, and half-a-crown a hundredweight on refined paraffin wax.
