NEW ZEALAND TROTTING ASSOCIATION.

The monthly meeting of the New Zealand Trotting Association was held yesterday. Prti-ent—Messrs P. Selig (President), R. O. Duncan, A. L Myers, C. F. Mark, W. Hayward, C. S. Howell, W. G. Garrard, and 11, F. Nicoll. An apology for absence was received from Mr J. H. Pollock. : Further correspondence was read in connection with tho Conoerah case. Tho Farbury Park Trotting Club declined to re-open the case, and it wns decided that tho name of A. F. Taylor should be placed in tho Unpaid Forfeit List for the amount of the stake won from tho Southland Racing Club. Certain disqualifications incurred through taking part in an unregistered meeting at Pino Bii-.li were removed. Tho President stated that an application hau been received from tho Western AitEtralian Trotting Association, with headquarters at Perth for affiliation, and information was being obtained us to the scopo of the Association. Ar, explanation from Mr "W. Henry" R3 to thc reason for his not having complied with tho rules relating to foreign horses in respect to the hnrco Clinton wn-} accepted. Programme.-* as passed by the executive were approved, nnd nino additional programmes wore passed. It was decided to inform tho Waikawa Hack Racing Club that the trotting events on its programme couid not bo approved whilo it was unregistered. 'J'lie Foreign Horse Committee recommended that certificates should be issued for Mi3s Marion Downs, Yellow Ribbon, and Mi*M A.lt.T. Wilkes after inspection, and that those- for C.C. and Minting should bo held over. The re-port was adopted. Licences as recommended by tho Licensing Committee were granted. Those of G. H. Lawson, J. C. Page], E. S. Groat, and W. Grant were renewed ior the rest of the season with a caution, that of J. T. McCauley was also issued with a cauticu, 'and that of E. J. Dwyer was held over. The committeo recommended the payment of £8 and a sum to cover nir'dicinal expenses to S. J. Gallacher out of the Provident Fund as compensation for an accident. The report was adopted.
