CAPETOWN ILLUMINATED.
Reuter states that the entire centre of Capetown was magnificently illuminated, all the principal buildings being outlined with strings of vari-coloured lights, Avhieh, enttAined Avith garlands, also spanned the main thoroughfares and the oak avenue, giving a fmry-liko effect against the majestic rovk background of Tablo Mountain. Dense croAvds paraded to and fro, and altogether it was a magnificent sight, unparalleled in the history of South Africa. (Received November 2nd, 1 a.m.) CAPETOWN. November 1. The Royal party aro having a comparatively quiet day. They motored out to tho Government Avine farm in the beautiful Constantia Valley under the leo of Table Mountain through Cecil Rhodes's estate Groote Schuur, and thence through die historic oak avenue planted in tdio early period of Dutch settlement.
