DARFIELD.
Tlie Darfield Lawn Tennis Club opened its season last Saturday afternoon. The weather being perfect, a big crowd assembled, both courts being fully occupied tho wholo afternoon. The play for tho most part was indifferent, owing to tho majority of the members being learners, "but what was lacking in j Fcienco was made up for in zeal, and ; before tbo season is over the club j should givo a good account of itself. ; Afternoon tea was dispensed by the ladies.
