On Wednesday 9th November, Prntessor A. •Smith will endeavour to beat Kckhardt's record of 6!i ht.urs' endurance skating by attempting to skate continuously for 72 hours. Recently T'roiesi-r .Smith -kated lor 62 hour* continuously at tli3 Piinces Rink, Nelson, since when Eckhardt increased the time by seven additional hours in Melbourne.
