The annual report states that tho north-w.st pearl fisheries produced shell valued at £173,631, and pearls valued at £33,090. The industry employs 344 boats and 2314 men. A Port Headland telegram reports the finding of throe pearls, one weighing 56 grains, and another valued at £7000.
