At the monthly meeting of the Kaia-r-oi School Committee on Monday, .the headmaster reported that the public school roll-number was 101. average attendance 3.... : High .School, roll 21, average attendance 20. It was decided to give a holiday on Labour Day. .Accounts, .-to 17s lld. were passed lor payment.
On Monday the Rev. C. H. Laws lectured in the Methodist Church on Palestine. Lantern views exhibited by Mr J. N. Eagle appropriately illustrated the same. The lecture was held instead cf a tea-meeting in connection with tlie Sunday-school anniversary.
