Tho morning report of the Canterbury fishing rivers yesterday was as follows:—Clear: North Waimakariri, Rakaia. and Ranj_itata. Discoloured: South Waimakariri and Waitaki.

One angler secured thirteen and another six trout in the Halswell on Saturday night. A third obtained nine on Sunday. The hsh wero of fair size, but were not iv very good condition. The hsh are beginning to come in from tiie Lake now, and are distributing themselves hlong the river.
