P.iulhan flow from Verona to Solferino, where he alighted on the battlefield and laid a wreath on the tomb of the French soldiers. He then flew back to Verona. Lieutenant Dunne made a flight ot two and a half miles at Shoppey without using the steering levers, for tho purpose of proving that his biplane was automatically stable. NEW YORK, May 29. Mr Hunt Curtis won tho '"New York WorldV , 10,000 dollar prize for acroplaning from Albany to Governor's Island, New York, a distance of 150 miles, in 165 minutes, including two stoppages. (Received May 31st. 12.15 z.m.) NEW YORK, May 30. Mr Ourtis's trip was made in perfect weather. He outstripped a speciil train following him. The highest point which the aeroplane reached wss 1000 feet. The journey -was a duplication of Fulton's steamboat trip in 1807.
