At a meeting of Opposition supporters ihis after, noon, at Mr "W. F. Massev (the leader of tho Opposition) and Mr Martin (the party's organiser) were present, it was decided to approach Mr Joseph Clark and ask him to stand for the seat as the official Opposition candidate, Jlr Clark, who. was formerly pastor of the Baptist Tabornacle, will' make a definite a miouncement to-mor-iow. : At a meeting of the Labour Paity tonight, Mr G," McKDijxhty oi -Auckland, was selected as the Labour candidate.
