THE TRAMWAY STAFF.
A RE ARRANGEMENT,
The Tramway Board yesterday made a re-arrangement of tho administrative staff, on the lines submitted in n. report from the Works .*»nd Traffic Committee.. * '
The committee reported that in' its opinion ,it was desirable, in the best interests of the Christchurch tramways Ihat a general manager be appointed, and recommended that such appointment be made. The committee recommended that the- present secretary of the Board, Mr Frank Thompson, be appointed to the. position of general manager and secretary. The committeo also recommended that .applications hi invited for tho position ot electrical engineer, rendered* vacant by tho resignation of the present engineer, Mr Scott Symington. It was recommended further that the committee be empowered to take such steps as it thought necessary to alter the organisation of the traffic and other departments, in order to bring the same into confornvity with'the'new .management arrangements.
