PARTITION OF BENGAL. United Press Association—By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, May 19. It is reported from India that there is a rcmarkablo modification of opinion among the Bengalis regarding the partition of the province, which at first evoked violent opposition. Moreover, those *\ng|a.ipdiah newspapers hitherto opposed to partition now admit that the new province has derived great bonefit therefrom. "The Times'' considers that the agitation has collapsed.
