CASUALTIES.

A boy nauud Herbert Johnstone was shot in the eye on Tuesday, in Brougham street, Sydenham, by a misfile from an air-gun, the ->ye being badly injured. An accident happened at Tinndalee, in the Cheviot district, on Wednesduy. Mr Bussell's waggon, loaded with oats for Brookdnle, went- over a bank, killing the two horses in the shafts and breaking tho waggon. The driver escaped with slight injuries. Last, evening, ln-twcen o anel -j.30 p.m., a spring dray, heavily laden with meat, was proceeding from tho SockHum abattoirs to town. When near Clarence road tlie axle of the cart broke, and a general mix-up ensued. However, no damage was done to cither horse or driver, and later a curt from tho city conveyed tho meat to ibs destination.
