A TRYING EXPERIENCE
(rKESS ASSOCIATION TKLXORAM.) GISBORNE, April 21. The scow Magic, which arrived *t Gis* borne this morning from Greymouth, bad a perilous experience. She ran into a northwest gale off Ca-pe Palliser, and her foremast top carried away. The Magic waa blown 1-20 miles out to sea by the hurricane, which lasted three days. A trermendously heavy eea was running, ajid the deck cargo had "to bo jettisoned to lightrai the vessel. The deck was continually awash, and the crew had a very trying experience.
